Hi everyone,My name's andy, I'm a student at Leicester University in the U.K. This September I want to take a trip to Russia (something I've dreamed of for quite a while) but unfortunately as a student my budget is really tight. Looking at Ryan Air prices the only places I can afford to go are Oslo and StocKhol. I just wanted to ask:1) If I go to Oslo is it worth it to take bus/train to Murmansk and then make my way down to Petersburg?2) If I go to Stockholm is there a cheaper alternative to getting to Petersburg than taking a ferry to Helsinki and then bus to Petersburg?

I live in Finland, and I can say that the cheapest way to go from Stockholm to St. Petersburg is the one you mentioned: first go to Helsinki, and then by bus to Russia (the cheapest price for that one is 10 euros.) Ferry, as I know, costs 80 euros for 4 people, I don't know about the price if you go alone, but if you are really interested in that, i can find out.
