Hello,I'm an American, and am planning a trip in early October which would consist of riding a train from Europe into Moscow, spending 7 or so days there, and then taking the Trans-Siberian to Beijing. I was planning on getting a Russian tourist visa and a Chinese tourist visa, but the complexity of this site's visa application instructions made me sort of anxious -- which cities should I claim that I am staying in, if half of my trip will be spent on or around a train? Will I be allowed to get off of the train and explore Siberia a little bit? As an American, will I be allowed to leave Russia into China? Is there anything else I should watch out for? I'm sure this sort of thing has been addressed many times before, so forgive my ignorance. Thanks so much.
